Different Between Volt and Watt.

Before using any electrical and hardware product, we should read the instruction very carefully. Even when you buy a piece of bulb, you should know the voltage and the wattage of the bulb, for example: we buy a bulb for our house is 240VAC, if we buy a bulb which is use in a car, it should be 12VDC. And if we go to other country  for a holiday, we should know the voltage there before using any electrical devices in their country because the voltage there, maybe lower. Voltage is a measurement specific significance premised for particular item used.

Watt is the unit of power been use by an appliance consumes at any given moment. For an equipment with a power consumption of 3000 Watt with 240 Volt AC, then the ampere is : 3000 divided by 240 = 12.5Amp, that is high ampere. If we know that the ampere of the equipment is high, we should be careful with our socket, plug, the cable and the fuse that we use. Please don't even use any extension wire that is not suitable for the power comsumption. It was advisable to use 15 ampere plug top and socket with thick cable.

Pak Cik told me that he bought an extention wire, the owner of the shop never told him that it cannot use for electric oven, there you see the cable and the switch socket will all burn very badly, luckily it wouldn't burn down the whole house.

This two items have different voltage, one was DC 12 V and the other was 240VAC. Becareful when you buy any electrical items.

Halogen bulbs of that kind are 12 VAC, it comes with 240VAC convert to 12VAC choke or an electronic choke and some of them are 240VAC without any convertor. Nowadays, LED have replace with halogen bulbs because it can save electricity and it do not feel very warm.
